FRONT HOPPERS
Claydon offers farmers the flexibility of choosing from two Evolution range front hoppers, with either a twin metering 2,750 litre capacity tank or a single 2,000 litre tank.

Evolution Double Front Hopper
With a total capacity of 2750 litres, the Evolution Double Front Hopper is split 45/55% and is pressurised to ensure reliable high-volume material delivery to the rear distribution heads.
Its twin metering units deliver either mixed or separated seed/fertiliser flows to the rear-mounted drill, a simple airline box selector diverting the flow of material to the distribution pipes or combining the total output into one pipe.
An ISOCAN terminal controls all front hopper functions and allows variable rate seeding, depending on the task controller and licence key.
Weighing 730kg, it measures 2476mm wide, 1803mm high and 1619mm long, incorporates two hopper sensors providing ‘low level’ and ‘empty’ warnings, a toolbox and foldable front footstep.
Both Double and Single Front Hoppers are ISOBUS compatible and are supplied with small, medium or large diameter interchangeable metering wheels to suit a wide range of seeds and fertilisers.
Optional extras for both sized hoppers include 550kg of ballast, plus packer wheels with passive steering and wheel scrapers, work lights and two road vision cameras.

Evolution Single Front Hopper
The Evolution Single Front Hopper has a 2000 litre capacity and is scaled down to 150mm lower and 100mm narrower than the Double Front Hopper.
Incorporating a large 1800mm x 750mm opening lid with a single centred latch and stay strut, it is fitted with removable stainless steel meshes, a single metering unit, two hopper level sensors which provide ‘low level’ and ‘empty’ warnings, together with a ‘metering unit empty’ sensor.
Supplied with a single 112mm-diameter transfer tube to transport seed to the rear-mounted drill toolbar, it can be equipped with an optional light and vision kit.

STRAW HARROW NUTRISEEDER
The Claydon NutriSeeder for the 7.5m Straw Harrow is designed to allow farmers to establish cover crops quickly, accurately, reliably and economically.
There are two versions of the Straw Harrow NutriSeeder, a single 200-litre hopper with a single metering mechanism, or twin-hopper design with dual metering systems. The twin hopper allows two types of seed to be applied at the same time and mixed in the distribution head with accurate metering and avoidance of seed separation in the hopper.
Both NutriSeeder models incorporate a hydraulic fan and electronic control with forward speed rate mechanism. On headlands, the NutriSeeder is started and stopped by the operator via a hydraulic cylinder, as best practice is to leave the Straw Harrow down so as not to release weed seeds or drop clumps of straw. Fitting different metering wheels/sections enables seed rates to be adjusted up to 30kg/ha for wheat, 15kg/ha for grass seed and 25kg/ha for cover crop mixes, at a forward speed of 15kph.
Eight spreader plates at the front of the Straw Harrow distribute seed evenly in front of the implement’s standard 14mm or optional 16mm-diameter tines which create a shallow tilth up to 30mm deep, ensuring good seed to soil contact.
The Claydon NutriSeeder incorporates an integrated loading platform that makes it easy to fill from a safe height.
