Following on from over a year’s development and prototyping this Spring, Claydon are presenting the trailed drill at Cereals. The Hybrid T6 and Hybrid T8 will come in both 6m and 8m working widths as the name suggests and boast 5000L Hopper capacity which can accommodate both Fert/Seed or Seed only.
Over the past couple of years Claydon have witnessed a significant increase in the amount of enquiries they are receiving from larger arable operators in The UK and also in mainland Europe. Charlie Eaton; Claydon UK & Ireland Sales Manager quoted ‘The concept of the trailed drill is based on our tried and tested Hybrid configuration. The hopper weight is always carried on the 4 x transport wheels which travel on the unmoved soil and the seeding frame rides completely separate to the hopper so the amount of weight in the hopper has no effect on seed depth. Power requirements will be similar to our fully-mounted drill at a minimum of 50hp per metre, with the transport wheels running behind the hopper a huge proportion of the weight is transferred back to the tractor for traction.’
Claydon’s new 8m Rolls will also be on show on stand K-1140-11 along with a range of Claydon machines.
Thanks to the winning bidder on the Wednesday at Cereals at the auction for the 3m Claydon Hybrid Drill ( 2014 autumn season), proceeds to the Princes Countryside Fund.
