Job Title: Product Telephone Support (Office based)
Reports To: After Sales Manager
Hours/Days/Status: 40 hours per week/as required Monday-Friday Permanent, Full Time, Salary £28,000 to £38,000 DOE

The exciting role now available is for a Product Support Technician in the Aftersales Team. This role is working directly for the manufacturer at Claydon Head Office developing support material, training Distributor and Dealer Service Staff, giving telephone support diagnosing and fixing any issues with machines and supporting at local, national, and international shows and exhibitions. The Claydon team work cohesively from an open plan office to gain the best contact between departments to encourage great teamwork and development. Full product, systems and process training will be given on the job to the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will ideally have an engineering and technical knowledge background, have an understanding of agriculture, be proficient in English and Maths (other languages would be beneficial), proficient in MS Office and have strong computer and communication skills; being able to present to small groups will be essential.

You will be an active and enthusiastic person with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. You will be able to build rapport with customers by understanding their requirements and establishing suitable solutions that work for both parties. You will be a self-starter with a positive mindset and a can-do attitude, you will be able to continue to learn and pass that information on to others. You will be able to work individually or as part of a team depending on the circumstances as well as be goal driven. The role requires you to be able to communicate with other departments to feedback information for product, and production, development with a continuously improving mindset.

This role is office based at the Claydon Office in Wickhambrook. Hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Friday (40 hours / week). This role offers a competitive salary, the opportunity of working overseas from time to time and to give weekend telephone cover (on a rotational basis shared between the After Sales Team). Claydon offer 31 days holiday per annum including Bank Holidays and shuts down over the Christmas period so there is no need to rush in holiday forms to have this time off with your family. There are sick pay policies in place for employees that have passed their probation period and free on-site parking.

Skills:
• Engineering technical knowledge and experience.
• General agricultural knowledge and knowledge & experience with electrics, hydraulics & mechanics would be advantageous.
• Proficient in English (written / spoken).
• Proficient in additional language (European) would be advantageous but would not be a key factor for successful application.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
