ERP CO-ORDINATOR

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Hours/days/status: 0800 – 1700, 40 hpw, Monday-Friday, Permanent, Full Time

Job Summary:

The ERP Coordinator is the corporate ERP [enterprise resource planning] expert and power user on the technical side of business operations. The primary responsibility of the ERP coordinator is to provide oversight to the manufacturing ERP System. The ERP Coordinator coordinates users and user application of ERP and ensures alignment between Systems & Design and Production.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Maintenance of the ERP system
  • Creating new products within the ERP system
  • Creating parts, assemblies, BOMs and routings
  • Responsible for the accurate data within the ERP system
  • Generating reports and costings as and when required
  • Changing system-wide data to reflect the changes in design and or processes
  • Recording changes for traceability
  • Updating supply chain and pricing
  • Checking data and process quality and streamlining processes
  • Implementing and communicating improvements with other users
  • Implementing shop floor loading
  • Consulting with the Management Team to ensure on time and smooth delivery of product
  • Liaising with shop floor staff to gain relevant data

 

Health & Safety

  • Ensure the workshops are maintained in a clean and tidy condition to ensure a safe and secure working environment
  • Strict adherence to the company’s health and safety policies and procedures at all times including compulsory usage of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Report any incidents, including near misses, to the Production Manager and complete relevant supporting forms
  • Use training, skills, and knowledge to recognise and assess potential risks throughout each day

 

General

  • Undertake any other reasonable duty or task within your capability which the Company deems appropriate and suitable
  • Consult with work colleagues, as required
  • Participate in internal/external meetings, as and when requested
  • Identify and meet personal job-related training and development, as required
  • Provide assistance in terms of general and specific business support, as and when required
  • Hours in excess of those contracted may be required from time to time to meet production targets

 

Essential

  • Proven experience in running an ERP system in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Deep knowledge of Excel
  • Understanding of complex multi-level BOMs
  • Ability to spot an anomaly and rectify
  • Self-starter
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding a product development process
  • Effective communication skills at every level
  • System driven
  • Knowledge of Progress Plus would be an advantage.
